SBS signs with WSBK top teams for 2013 season
SBS has signed sponsoring contracts for 2013 with three of the world's leading Superbike teams: Team Pata Honda (Ten Kate), Team Ducati Alstare and Team Althea Racing.
Ten Kate has been an SBS Partner in Racing for many years. In 2013 the team will be represented by Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam in WSBK, and by Michael VD Mark and Lorenzo Zanetti in the Supersport class.
Team SBK Ducati Alstare is a new team, formed on basis of the former Ducati and Alstare teams. Riders will be 2011 WSBK world champion, Carlos Checa, who has been an SBS partner for several seasons, and Italian Ayrton Badovini.
Team Althea Racing Aprilia has the 23-year old Italian talent Davide Giugliano as rider for the WSBK 2013 series. This will be his third in this class after ending 10th last season with two podium positions.
Further SBS has signed a contract with the Supersport team MV Agusta - Team SSD Motorsport with Christian Iddon and Roberto Rolfo as preferred riders.
SBS CSO Christel Munk Pedersen is very satisfied with the signings. "We are proud to cooperate with some of the best Superbike and Supersport teams and riders in the world. We are confident that they will get a lot of success in the coming season and that we with our excellent brake pads and support can contribute to this".
